Keli - Aryeh Kunstler and Yosef Karduner

Deeply stirring tune composed by Aryeh Kunstler. Yosef Karduner is a featured vocalist. God, please answer our cry on the day we call!

Keli was composed by Aryeh Kunstler.

Aryeh and Yosef Karduner have known each other for 10 years. Aryeh plays guitar and back up vocals for Yosef on most of his US shows every year. Aryeh produced Yosef’s hit album Mesugal L'Teshuva, in addition to singing and playing guitar on it. So it made sense that for Aryeh's first song with original Hebrew lyrics, that Yosef should be the featured vocalist.

The song fully captures the acoustic and heartfelt feeling that Yosef is known for, as well capturing Aryeh’s original style of alternative rock.

The song itself has such relevance since we live in times where we’re surrounded with difficulties and challenges. Sometimes we need to call out to Hashem, asking him where He is and to help us.

(I look out at the world)

(There is so much worry)

(Where is the Redemption)

(How many tears fall from my eyes)

(They break my heart)

(Like rain from the Heavens)

(I call out to you day and night)

(Searching for Your Hand)

(Searching for an answer)

(Please G-d, don't abandon me)

(Save me!)

(Father, we're suffering)

 (My G-d) קלי

 (My G-d) קלי

(Why have you abandoned me) למה עזבתני

(My salvation is so far away)

(The words that I roar)

I feel alone in all this darkness

Trying to be a light

In a world that's cold and heartless

I look around and all I see is fear

So many broken hearts

Oceans full of tears

I'm calling to you yet still you hide

I'm calling to you, don't you hear my cry

(Please G-d, don't abandon me)

Please come and save me

My arms are open wide

(Please answer us) אנא עננו

(On the day we call)
